How do I export data if I don't have Microsoft Excel?

Overview

Several OneSpot features will require the use of software that is capable of opening or downloading spreadsheets. If your practice does not presently have software applications such as Microsoft Excel, it is recommended that you install Apache OpenOffice to experience all of OneSpot's valuable features. 

Apache OpenOffice Information

Apache OpenOffice is a free office productivity software suite alternative to Microsoft Office. It is capable of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases, and more. It is available in many languages and is compatible with multiple operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux. 

Installing Apache OpenOffice via Web Browser

1. Access the following website: Apache OpenOffice - Official Site - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

2. Select 'I want to download Apache OpenOffice.' 

3. Select 'Download full installation.' 

4. When prompted, open the software file from your downloads. 

5. If you receive a notification asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device, select yes. 

6. Once allowed, you will receive a pop-up notification. Select 'Next' to continue.

7. Choose where you would like to store the destination folder, then select 'Unpack.' 

8. Another pop-up notification will appear, select 'Next.' 

9. Enter a username and the organization. Then select 'Next.' 

10. Select 'Typical' for the setup type. 

11. Ensure you have checked the box for 'Create a start link on desktop.' 

12. Select 'Install.' 

13. An OpenOffice icon will be available on your desktop. Downloaded .csv and .xlxs files can now be accessed with OpenOffice. 

Installing Apache OpenOffice via Microsoft Store

1. Open the Microsoft Store on your computer. 

2. In the search bar, type 'Apache OpenOffice.' You will see the following app: 

3. Select 'Install.' 

4. If you receive a notification asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device, select yes. 

5. Search for the app on your computer, then, select it to open it. 

6. Another pop-up notification will appear, select 'Next.' 

7. Enter a name, then select 'Finish.' 

8. You should receive another pop-up similar to the one below. Once you are here, downloaded .csv and .xlxs files can be accessed with OpenOffice.
