Revert an Aging File

Overview

All user roles have the ability to revert aging files that were incorrectly uploaded to the Aging module. Reverting a file resets claim data to its state prior to the upload.

Important:

  • This action can only be performed on the most recently uploaded aging file.

  • Reverting a file is permanent and cannot be undone.

What Happens When a File Is Reverted

Once an aging file file is reverted, the following updates will occur:

  • The aging file record is deleted.

  • All new claims created from the file upload are removed. These claims will no longer appear in the Claims module.

  • Existing claims that were updated during the file upload will have their statuses reverted to their previous state. A corresponding note will be added to the Claim Activity tab, indicating why the status was changed.

  • The reverted aging file will still appear in the Recent Aging File History, but:

    • The data associated with the file is no longer accessible.

  • The file’s Processing Status will be updated to Reverted and will include:

    • The name of the user who performed the revert.

    • The date the revert was completed.

Revert an Aging File

1. Navigate to Aging > Aging Files

  • If your account has the Aging File by Location feature enabled:

    • Select All Locations from the location filtering dropdown to ensure access to all files.

    • Note: Aging files must be reverted in the order they were uploaded. If the most recent file is associated with a location that the user does not have access to, the Revert button will not display. Refer to the Add and Manage Users documentation to configure appropriate location access in Admin > Users.

2. The Revert button appears only on the most recently uploaded aging file. It can be found in the Recent & New > Recent Aging File History grid and the File History > Aging File History grid.

3. Select the Revert button to initiate the process.

4. The system will prompt you to confirm the action. Select Revert to proceed, or Cancel if you do not wish to continue.
