Overview
Once your payers have been added to OneSpot, you’re ready to upload the Payer Data File supplied by the OneSpot Support Team using the Update Payers action. This will automatically fill in any missing details for existing payers—such as contact information and filing deadlines. Please note: this process does not create new payers; it only updates those already in your account.
Before uploading the file, please review it and fill in any missing information that our team may not have collected. While we’ve compiled extensive payer data through our internal billing team, some fields—especially for smaller or local plans—may still be blank. Even so, this spreadsheet provides a solid foundation to begin configuring your payers and confidently managing claims in OneSpot.
To learn more about this process including what data you can expect to be updated, and how OneSpot will handle any existing information you’ve already configured, view the Update Payer Details: Understanding the Support Team Supplied Payer Data File article.
Update Payers - Instructions

2. Select Payers in the top navigation bar or Manage Payers within the Your Payers panel.
3. Select Update Payers.
-
Note: This button will only appear once your payer list has been created. If it's not visible, ensure you've uploaded your aging file.
- For RevolutionEHR users only: The button will appear after the initial Admin Data sync, which automatically imports payers from your practice management system into OneSpot.
4. Select Choose File in the Update Payers window.
5. In the dialogue window, select the correct file.
6. Select Update Payers.
Once the upload is complete, OneSpot will automatically update any blank fields for existing payers with the corresponding values from your file.
How Can I Use This Data Once It's Been Added?
If you’re using the Aging module, the payer data you’ve uploaded or configured will appear in the dedicated Payer tab within the Claim Details when viewing a claim.
This gives you a centralized, in-context view of everything you need to manage a claim—no need to jump between portals, spreadsheets, or sticky notes. Whether you’re appealing a denial or following up on a deadline, the correct details are always at your fingertips.
