Overview
While working on your claims, there may be times when immediate follow-up isn’t necessary. Whether you're waiting for payment, following up on a rejected claim, or confirming a patient’s insurance details, Snooze can help by temporarily removing the claim from your worklist.
Once the snooze period ends, the claim will automatically return to your worklist. Depending on the snooze option you choose, a to-do will also be created to remind you to review the claim—either the next day or on the specific Snooze, Until... date you selected.
This action automatically creates an entry in the Activity tab within Claim Details, providing a clear record of the snooze.
How to Use Snooze
1. Select a Snooze option:
- For 1 Day: Snoozes the claim for one day and automatically creates a to-do.
- For 1 Month: Snoozes the claim until the first day of the next month. This will not create a to-do.
- Until: Allows you to customize the Snooze, Until... date, and will automatically create a to-do. If you select this option, proceed to Step 2.
2. For the Snooze, Until… option complete the required fields:
- Snooze Until: Select the date the claim should be snoozed until.
- Note: Add any relevant notes to remind you why the claim is being snoozed (e.g., “Waiting for insurance confirmation”).
3. When finished, select Save, or if you do not want to save the information, select ‘Cancel.’
Viewing & Managing Snoozed Claims
When working your claims in Aging > Claims, the system displays Non-Snoozed claims by default. Once a claim is snoozed, you can easily locate it by adjusting the filter to show either Snoozed or All.
Once the Snooze Until date arrives:
The claim will automatically return to your Non-Snoozed view.
Any associated to-do will be automatically marked as completed, if the claim is completed before the snooze period ends.
If you need to take action on a claim before the Snooze Until date (or if a claim was snoozed by mistake) you can manually remove the snooze using the Clear Snooze option.
