Overview
The Filters button helps you quickly narrow your Aging worklists to the claims that matter most. After selecting a Claim Filtering Tab, you can further refine your results by payer type and claim status behavior.
For example, if you're focusing on medical claims, you can exclude vision and unspecified payers to create a more targeted worklist and streamline your follow-up efforts. This makes it easy to focus on a specific segment of your accounts receivable and prioritize work based on your team's needs.
Filter by Payer Type and Stalled Status
The Filters button gives you additional control over your Aging worklists by allowing you to refine claims based on both payer type and stalled claim status.
You can filter claims by the following payer types::
• All (Default)
• Medical
• Vision
• Unspecified
Include Stalled Claims
The Include Stalled Claims option is enabled by default. When enabled, stalled claims are included in both your Aging worklists and Aging Summary calculations, providing a complete view of your accounts receivable. When disabled, stalled claims are excluded from your worklists and Summary calculations. To learn more about stalled claims, view Mark as Stalled.
How Filters Affect Aging
Filter selections apply across both Aging > Summary and Aging > Claims, ensuring a consistent view as you move between Aging screens. When filters differ from the default settings, the Filters button displays an indicator to show that filters are active.
Filter selections also reset when you log out and back into OneSpot, returning to the default settings:
- All Payer Type (All)
- Include Stalled Claims (Enabled)
Managing Payer Types
Payer type information is configured in Admin > Payers. To learn how to assign a payer as Medical, Vision, or Unspecified, see Payer Details - Payer Information.
If you're unsure which payers still need to be configured, navigate to: Admin > Payers. From there, filter your payer list by payer type. This allows you to quickly identify any payers marked as Unspecified and update them as needed.
