Overview
Once a claim file has been processed, claims can be manually removed from the worklist by either Marking as Filed or Marking as Deleted. This article outlines the purpose and use of each action. Filed or deleted claims can be located later using the Search filter. The actions below will generate an entry in the Activity & Notes tab and update the Last Worked date, providing a clear record of recent activity on the claim.
Mark As Filed
The Mark As Filed action is available for scrubbed claims with a Ready To File status. Use this action to indicate that the claim has been submitted to the clearinghouse or payer using your preferred submission method.
Note: Selecting this button does not physically submit the claim from your practice management system.
1. Select Mark As Filed.
Mark As Deleted
Use Mark As Deleted for claims with a Ready To File, Needs Review, or On Hold status to remove them from the worklist. This is useful if a claim was created in error or no longer needs to be filed.
