Scrubbing Actions - Working Errors and Warnings

Overview

Claims with a status of Needs Review contain one or more errors or warnings. These indicate that the claim did not pass one or more of the Scrubber’s rules and require action. All errors and warnings must be resolved or ignored before the claim can automatically update to a Ready to File status. The actions below will generate an entry in the Activity & Notes tab and update the Last Worked date, providing a clear record of recent activity on the claim.

Fix an Error or Warning

Marking an error or warning as Fixed means you have resolved the issue in your practice management system. Updating the status in OneSpot does not fix the issue automatically; the correction must be made manually.

Once the issue is resolved in your practice management system, you can update its status in OneSpot:

1. Select the three dots to the left of the error or warning.

2. Select either Fix Error or Fix Warning.

Ignore an Error or Warning

If an error or warning is not applicable and no change is needed in your practice management system, it can be ignored:

1. Select the three dots to the left of the error or warning.

2. Select either Ignore Error or Ignore Warning.

Revert Status

If an error or warning was accidentally marked as Fixed or Ignored, you can revert it:

1. Select the three dots to the left of the error or warning.

2. Select Revert.

The error or warning will return to its previous status.
