Overview
The Never Worked Claims by Age KPI provides a real-time snapshot of claims that have never been worked in OneSpot — meaning they have no recorded last worked activity. This KPI categorizes these claims into four age groups:
31–60 days
61–90 days
91–120 days
Over 120 days
For each group, it displays both the number of claims and their associated dollar amounts, giving you a clear view of potential revenue that may be at risk due to unworked claims.
Why It Matters
Unworked claims are a critical risk area, as they tend to be overlooked and can lead to missed payment opportunities. This KPI helps teams:
Identify and prioritize unworked claims by age group
Prevent claims from slipping through the cracks
Maximize collections by focusing efforts where they are needed most
By regularly monitoring this KPI, teams can ensure timely follow-up, reducing the chance of unpaid balances and improving overall revenue cycle performance.
How It Works
The Never Worked Claims by Age KPI pulls real-time data from the Aging > Claims > By Last Worked filter. This ensures the metric always reflects the most current view of claims that have never been addressed in OneSpot.
Automatic Updates
Claims are automatically removed from this KPI once they receive any of the following aging actions:
- Refile Claim
- Correct
- File Appeal
- Resend Appeal
- Overturn Appeal
- Uphold Appeal - File Another Appeal
- Add Appeal Note
- Edit Appeal Dates
- Complete
- Auto-Complete
This automation keeps the KPI focused on truly unworked claims, allowing your team to concentrate on the highest priority issues.
