Overview
Claims that are not yet ready to be filed can be placed on hold. For example, if you are waiting for a referral, post-operative information, or updated insurance details, placing a claim on hold allows you to set it aside until the needed information is obtained. Placing a claim on hold will move it from its current status tab to the On Hold status tab. The actions below will generate an entry in the Activity & Notes tab and update the Last Worked date, providing a clear record of recent activity on the claim.
Note: If a claim is on hold and a new scrubbing file is uploaded containing this claim, its status will not change.
For RevolutionEHR accounts only: If the scrubbed claim matches a claim in the Aging module, any notes added while placing a claim on hold will also appear in the Activity tab > Scrubbing Activity in the Aging Claim Details. During the nightly sync, notes are also pushed to the associated invoice in RevolutionEHR. See the RevolutionEHR - Manage OneSpot Auto-Sync documentation for more information.
